May God bless his soul for us in Neurosurgery.
And, more closely, we were contemporaries at the RTP & we did our Neuropathology Postings with them, down stairs, in Pathology.. ……
Our relationship had continued, even while I had already set up Neurosurgery at UNIZIK Awka & NAUTH Nnewi, 17years ago.
I still drove to UCH Ibadan, some 550Km away from Nnewi, with some strange slides in my handbag, to do Immunohistochemistry for my patients, & clear my occasional diagnostic dilemma, with them.
I am sure that my other colleagues found a lot of treasurer in doing such laps from their various centres around the nation.
It has been a life-long story of professional relationship between Pathology & Neurosurgery in UCH Ibadan.
Even when Clem was harassed or embarrassed, he only had his steamy eyes, a humble mien & a perpetual smile on his lips, to douse his pains.
The death of any Pathologist in Ibadan, always translates to one-man-less for the Neurosurgery Family.
Fair well, Brother Clem. It is well with your humble & gentle soul.
May God console your constituencies, forgive your faults & milk you gently into Heaven, Amen.
